A class attendance roster for every period
Five classes means five rosters, and retyping the names five times is the part that stops people. Keep each class as its own list here, then print any of them for any month. Free · no signup · nothing uploaded unless you turn on sync.
One list per class, not one file per month
The usual arrangement is a spreadsheet per class per month, copied forward and edited — which works until a student transfers in and you are correcting four files. Here the class list is the thing you keep, and the roster is generated from it. Add a student once and every future month has them, in the right alphabetical place, with the rows renumbered.
Because the list is the durable part, it is also the part every other tool reads. The third-period roster that prints your attendance is the same third-period roster behind your groups, student picker and seating chart. Name a student once, per class, ever.
Switching classes
The class selector sits above the sheet. Change class and the preview redraws with that class's students — same month, same layout, different names — so printing a set for the whole day is a matter of clicking through the list. Each downloaded PDF is named for its class and month, which matters once there are five of them in your downloads folder.
Want the grid without any names, for a club or a one-off? That is the blank attendance roster. Leaving the class with someone else? The substitute version covers what to put out.
Questions teachers ask
How many classes can I keep?
As many as you teach. Each is its own class list with its own students, and switching between them is a dropdown — the roster you print always matches the class you are on.
Can two classes share a student?
Yes — add them to both. The classes are independent lists, so a student who shows up in your homeroom and your third period is simply on both, and marking them absent on one roster does not touch the other.
What order are the names in?
"Last, First" A→Z by default, the way attendance rosters usually run, with the rows numbered so a headcount is one glance. You can switch to first name or keep your own roster order — the choice is per print, so different classes can differ.
Will my classes still be here in the morning?
They stay in this browser on this device. If you want the same classes at home as at school, optional sync copies them to your account — off until you switch it on.
